I have a Coupon Code or Gift Voucher. How do I use it? TOP

COUPON CODE - These are normally issued to multiple recipients, and generally consist of a word; with or without numbers.  To use your coupon code, you must enter that code into the coupon box in the left menu bar from any page on the site BEFORE adding items to the card.  Enter the code into the box, and click 'go'.  You should then see a message on the page telling you that your discount is now available.  The discounted item will reflect once added to shopping cart.
 
GIFT VOUCHER/CERTIFICATE - These are invididually issued either by someone purchasing a gift certificate through the website, or by Silver Mist Studios issue.  These are entered in the shopping cart AFTER you have added your items.  They typically are a very long random generated code.

How Do I Know I am Getting A Quality Product? TOP

We use strong, flexible & kink resistant beading Stainless Steel, Nylon Coated wire for strung items. The wire we use actually has 49 strands (7 bundles of 7 wires) twisted together and has a VERY high (anywhere from 25lb-40lb) break.
 
We use only sterling silver, no plated for our designs.  Along with fine silver, 24kt gold, high quality gemstones and pearls, swarovski crystal and artisan crafted lampwork glass beads, and the like.
 
We also spend a lot of time not only in the design, but making sure every piece is secure and will hold up to long time wear!
 
 
 

What Are Your Shipping Prices and Carrier Options? TOP

DOMESTIC RATES FIRST CLASS:

  • First Class (6-10 days) Option is $2.00 for first item.
  • First Class $3.40 for 2nd item
  • 3 ITEMS or more defaults to PRIORITY SHIPPING for $4.80
  • FREE Shipping Orders over $50.00 (Will be shipped first class or priority at our discretion)
DOMESTIC RATES PRIORITY: 
  • Priority (2-3 days) Option is $4.80 Multiple Items
  • FREE Shipping Orders over $50.00 (Will be shipped first class or priority at our discretion)
CANADA SHIPPING (First Class International):
  • $3.00 for first item and $5.00 for Multiple items
OTHER INTERNATIONAL LOCATIONS (First Class International):

If you would like to purchase insurance for the value of your order, please inquire so it may be added to your invoice. 
 
 

Do you Charge Sales Tax? TOP

Yes we do for shipping within Texas, State of Texas customers will be required to pay 8.25% sales tax on all orders.
 

What is your Return/Exchange Policy? TOP

At Silver Mist Studios, we guarantee everything we sell to be of the highest quality components and design construction. If you have any problems with your purchase, please return it to us within 10 days of receiving for a repair or replacement.  There are no refunds given on custom ordered items, but we will do everything in our power to make sure you are completely satisfied with your order! You must email us first at info@silvermiststudios.com
prior approval for a return to be made. There is no refund on shipping charges and you are responsible for all shipping charges to return the item and to have it shipped back to you after repairs and/or exchanges are made, unless it was found to be a design flaw or mistake on the part of Silver Mist Studios (in which case a refund of the purchase price and shipping will be processed). 
 

How long will it take to receive my order? TOP
For  items, these items are on hand and finished.  Ready for shipment.  These will go out in 24-48 hours.  Items that are NOT Exclusive are Made-to-Order and may take up to 2-4 weeks depending on availability of components.  But typically do go out before then.

Do You Provide A Warranty? TOP

In the unlikely event of if your jewelry breaks or needs repaired within 90 days we will repair it for FREE*.

If your jewelry breaks or needs repair after 90 days there will be a $5 per strand.  NOTE: Subject to higher repair price if any beads and findings have to be replaced fee plus the cost of shipping**
Please allow 2-3 weeks for repairs.
 
We encourage that after long term wear of the jewelry, if components become very loose to send it in for re-stringing.  It is better to get it restrung before it actually breaks, which in turn could lose components that is possible we may not carry any longer.  We will do a yearly routine re-string for FREE!!!
 
*Ship the item back to us and we will ship it back to you once repaired for no extra cost.
**You will be responsible for shipping it back to us. 
 
Please note: If you need to send an item back please put it in a box with some tissue or bubble wrap around it. If you mail it back in a flat letter sized envelope the item will get damaged.
 

Exclusive? Made to Order? TOP

When you see the "Exclusive" Icon on products, this means that it is only available to be ordered ONE time.  These exclusive peices will not be re-created.  These normally ship within 24-48hrs. and these items are truly one-of-a-kind!

Made to order peices are available on peices that can be created in multiples.  Items still may vary slightly depending on the availability of components used. Please be aware orders that are Made to Order there is a nominal 2-4 week delivery.  This applies mostly to wholesale customers as they typically order large quantities.  However, it IS a possible scenario depending on size of order and/or items ordered from an individual.

Order Time - 2-4 weeks normal delivery time depending on number of orders we have to fill.  So be sure to order in plenty advance.  We will contact you if there is any problems or inquiries about orders

How Do I Choose the Correct Size? TOP

2. Choose Size -The sizes listed for our BYOB bracelets represent the actual size of the bracelet when worn (with the toggle or lobster clasp closed) in inches.  The proper size for our BYOB bracelets is to add 1/4th inch (0.6cm to 0.7cm) to your actual wrist size for a slightly snug fit or add 1/2 inch (1.25cm) for a slightly loose fit.


What If The Jewelry Is a Gift and I Don't Know the Size Needed? TOP

If you do not know the size of the jewelry because it is a gift, please let us know under "special instructions" in the order form that it is a gift. We will allow ONE free re-size after the recipient has recieved it. Customer, or recipient will be responsible for any shipping fees to ship it back to us, AND shipping charges for us to ship it back.

Wrist size is not based on a persons "size". It is based on bone structure. Do please do not assume "small person = petite size".

If at all possible, please do try to figure out a way to get the size of recipients wrist to avoid problems. I have had many customer come up with very unique ways to get recipients wrist size! :)

Do You Offer Resizing? TOP

Yes We Do!
Resizing is FREE if you have your wrist size available  before the purchase is shipped. 
Any resizing following the shipping of the product will be charged a $5.00 per strand resizing fee.
Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.
 
*NOTE: REMEMBER to inquire about resizing BEFORE you place an order!  Keep in mind this may alter the design, and SOME pieces cannot be resized.
 

How do I take care of and clean my jewelry? TOP

·         Store your jewelry in a cool, dry place. Leaving jewelry out in the open even if in a jewelry box will be a sure way for your jewelry to tarnish. The bag provided with the anti-tarnish strip will help prevent tarnishing and scratching by other pieces in your jewelry box.

·         Remove when cleaning, swimming and taking a shower. The chemicals used during these activities are hard on all jewelry components.

  • Remove when sleeping. Movement during sleep can also cause stress.
  • Never let your jewelry soak in water, as it could corrode the wire the jewelry is strung on. If it does get wet, make sure you dry it completely.
  • 92.5% Sterling Silver still does have base metals in it. So it WILL tarnish if left out and not properly cared for. Oxygen and Light, and Oils from skin are the prime reason for tarnish. Can be cleaned easily however.
  • 99.9% Fine Silver is pure. Fine silver will still tarnish some, but not to the severity of sterling. Fine Silver will yellow a bit in time, but can be cleaned easily.
  • A great way to clean your jewelry is to get an aluminum pan, like the disposable ones. Add really hot water, not boiling, but very hot. Add 2 teaspoons of baking soda and 1 tsp. of salt. Stir a bit. Add jewelry and let soak for 10min. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Viola’ just like new. This will remove tarnish, and also is safe for all jewelry components including swarovski’s and pearls.
